This original composition for Portal Reloaded mirrors the game’s time-travel mechanic by assigning two time signatures to a single melody - one tied to the “present cube”, the other to it’s counterpart. The track that plays depends on which cube shares a timeline with the player. When both cubes exist together, their melodies play in tandem, creating a layered rhythmic interaction that musically reflects the paradox of coexisting timelines.
